Lemon & Rose Loaf Recipe

Today's recipe is a gorgeous & fluffy loaf infused with rose and lemon flavours, topped with an elegant white chocolate cream cheese frosting.

 

Today, our White Chocolate syrup is used in the frosting, and Turkish Delight syrup in the loaf. 

 

Here's what you'll need to get started on this delicious dessert:

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar 
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Cashmere Syrups Turkish Delight
  • 1 squeezed lemon 
  • 1.5 cups plain flour 
  • 1/2 tsp bi carb soda 

For the frosting:

 

Now here's how to make it:
  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius (fan forced)
  2. In a bowl, combine oil, sugar, lemon, eggs, and Turkish Delight Syrup
  3. Once mixed, add sifted flour and bi-carb soda. Mix with an electric beater until combined (about 2 mins)
  4. Line a loaf tin with non-stick baking paper, then pour cake mix and place in oven for 40 mins 
  5. Once cooked, remove from tin and allow to cool 
  6. To create frosting, combine all frosting ingredients listed above in a bowl
  7. Starting on a low speed, combine all ingredients using electric mixer. Slowly increase speed until mixture is smooth
  8. Once loaf has cooled, evenly spread frosting & garnish with dried rose! 
  9. Enjoy
