Win Your Week #9 - Morning Routine

Here at Cashmere Syrups we LOVE our morning routines.

Whether it’s making the bed, listening to a podcast, exercising, or making the perfect coffee,

Nothing beats the feeling of just winning the morning.

But we get it…

Actually starting and maintaining a morning routine can be HARD.

But it doesn’t have to be.

It can take as little as 18 days for a routine to become a habit.

There are actually a few things that you can do that can make it WAY easier to get into good habits and keep them up.

If you're interested, keep reading for 3 tips on building (and maintaining) the perfect morning routine.

  1. Plan Ahead

Before you go to bed, write down a list of things you want to achieve the next morning.

Why?

By planning out your mornings,  you are basically putting your brain on autopilot when you wake up.

So instead of feeling foggy and wondering what you’re going to do for 20 minutes, you can just get to it and start ticking items off your list.

You’ll be amazed at how motivated you feel - one task will lead to the next, and so on.

Once you have done this enough times, it will become a second nature.

Try it out and see if it works for you!

  1. Habit Bundling

“Habit Bundling” is where you take one or two good habits, and bundle them together with a small treat or something you enjoy doing.

So it could be something like:

“Meditate + Make my favourite coffee”

Or “Healthy breakfast + listen to my favourite podcast”

Just by bundling these habits together, your brain is associating “something you enjoy” with “something that is good for you”.

Over time, you’ll feel more and more motivated to keep up those habits until they become automatic.

This will also really assist you in forming more healthy habits.

Forming this association will allow you to get more done, as well as increase your wellbeing!

  1. Get some fresh air

No matter what your morning routine consists of, it’s ALWAYS a good idea to step outside and take in some fresh air (yes, even if it’s raining!)

You’ll be amazed at how refreshing this can feel.

It can help clear your lungs and can even help with digestion.

Allowing your body to be exposed to sunlight will allow your skin to absorb Vitamin D.

This will increase your overall health including keeping your bones, teeth, and muscles healthy!

But not only that - it also helps to clear your mind.

Which, in turn, helps to keep up other good habits and stay focused on winning the morning.

So there you have it! We hope you’ve enjoyed these morning routine tips.

Here’s to winning the morning, day and even the whole week!
